A Junior Pastor At A Very Large Suburban Church Was Going To Give His First Sermon. The Normal Sunday Attendance Was Well Over A Thousand And As Sunday Approached The Junior Pastor Became More And More Nervous. He Finally Approached The Senior Pastor And And Asked For His ( Senior Pastor ) Advice On Overcomming His ( Junior Pastor ) Own Nervousness.
The Senior Pastor Told The Jr Pastor That At Times To Help Him Overcome His Nervousness That He Would Put A Small Amount Of Vodka, Instead Of Water, On The Podium To Sip During The Sermon. The Junior Pastor Took The Advice And Put A Small Amt Of Vodka On The Podium. After The Sermon Was Over And The Church Was Empty, He Went To The Senior Pastor To Ask Him To Critique His Sermon.
