I was looked at W-V and I saw that they have played a lot of games already. A lot of the good teams have played 3-4 games and they had played 6 as of last night!

Do they have any holiday tourneys they play in?

They play in the Gateway Holiday Tournament at Montgomery County the 28th-30th. That is usually one of the best holiday tournaments in the state.

I only made one change in this weeks poll, moving Collins to 5th and Simon Kenton down to 6th. However, if South Oldham keeps rolling I may move them ahead of Walton-Verona even though Walton beat them. Owen County is still undefeated but they have only played one good team, Walton-Verona. Right now I still think Anderson is the best team in the region with the next 3 not far behind.
1. Anderson County (6-2)
2. Owen County (8-0)
3. Walton-Verona (7-3)
4. South Oldham (8-1)
5. Collins (8-2)
6. Simon Kenton (6-4)
7. Gallatin County (8-2)
8. Oldham County (4-5)
9. Grant County (7-4)
10. Trimble County (5-4)

Anderson County improved to 6-2 with a 12 point win over a 8-2 Letcher County Central team in Orlando, FL. Owen County remained undefeated with a win over Trimble County. The tournament they are in this week will tell us how good this team really is. The only good team they have played so far is Walton-Verona. Walton-Verona beat 7-2 Campbell County by 48 on the 21st. They also have a big tournament coming up this week with a first round match-up against Madison Central. South Oldham won the Lady Dragon Invitational last week with a good win over a solid Collins team 64-54. Collins proved that they can compete with the best in the region with two big wins over Jeffersontown and Franklin County before falling to South Oldham in the finals in a game that was close the entire way. Simon Kenton had a good showing at Lexington Catholic with two big wins over Casey County and Lincoln County. They have a big game on Wednesday against Collins the the Oldham County tournament. Gallatin County got a good win over Jeffersontown 64-58 at South Oldham last week. Oldham County went 0-2 in Tennessee last week. They have some big games coming up against Collins, Simon Kenton, and South Oldham. Trimble County lost to Owen County last week but beat Bellevue by 32. Grant County did well in Tennessee going 2-1 with their only loss to Belfry.
1. Anderson County (10-4)
2. Owen County (10-2)
3. Walton-Verona (9-4)
4. South Oldham (9-3)
5. Collins (11-2)
6. Simon Kenton (8-5)
7. Gallatin County (10-3)
8. Oldham County (5-7)
9. Grant County (10-4)
10. Trimble County (6-5)

Anderson County had a big week at Mercer County going 3-1. Their only loss was 51-47 to Mercer County. They have a big district game this week at Collins. Owen County lost their first two games of the season at Conner but they did get a big win over Newport Central Catholic 47-44. This week they have two district games at Gallatin County and at Henry County. Walton-Verona advanced to the championship of the Gateway Holiday Tournament by beating two very good teams in Madison Central and Clay County. They lost to Boone County for the second time this season 58-48 in the championship. South Oldham had a tough week at Montgomery County losing close games to Montgomery County and Marshall County before beating Bryan Station 51-41. They have a big game tomorrow at Collins and host district rival Oldham County on Friday. Collins has the best record in the region at 11-2. They went 3-0 at the Oldham County Christmas Tournament beating Simon Kenton by 19, Oldham County by 28, and Bethlehem by 35. They have a big week this week. They host South Oldham on Tuesday, travel to Presentation Wednesday, have a huge district game against rival Anderson County at home on Friday, then play Woodford County on Saturday. Simon Kenton went 2-1 at Oldham County last week losing to Collins in their first game but they bounced back to beat Bethlehem and Oldham County in their next two games. Gallatin County advanced to the championship game of the First Citizens Bank Classic before falling to host North Bullitt in the championship.
