I've been looking at the BCS selection process, and can't really
decipher whether or not the SEC can have 3 teams in the BCS
games under the current scenario.

Obviously LSU/Bama is the title game. And Houston looks
like it meets the criteria and is 6th in the BCS standings, to get
an at large bid. So those three along with the auto
qualifiers from the other BCS conferences make 8 of
tens bids to the 5 games. There are provisions for a 3rd team
from one BCS conference, but it doesn't seem to apply as
it says:

"No more than two teams from any one conference may receive berths in BCS games unless two non-champions from a BCS conference finish as the top two teams in the final BCS standings, in which case they will meet in the National Title Game while their conference champion will play in their
conference's BCS bowl game."

which does not apply as LSU will be the conference champ. So
can Arkansas get a BCS bowl or not?
If Bama and LSU meet for the title, Arkansas is probably headed for the Cotton Bowl.

Rose Bowl will be Oregon vs Michigan State/Wisconsin
Fiesta will be Okie State/OU winner vs Stanford
Sugar will be Houston vs Oklahoma/Okie State loser or Boise State
Orange will be VPLies vs WVU
Arkansas can not make it, the only way the SEC can have 3 teams in is if Georgia beats LSU. If LSU wins, they'll be the SEC rep and play in the national championship against Bama, an at-large from the SEC and would be the 2nd SEC team.

Arkansas's best chance at getting into a BCS bowl is if Houston, Boise State, and Oklahoma State all lose, but even then it's a very long shot. Really their BCS hopes crashed and burned when LSU went nuts on them. What's even sadder is there is a very real possibility that the Pac 12 and Big 10 will have 2 teams each in the BCS bowls
According to ESPN, there cannot be three teams from the SEC in BCS games.
This means if Bama and LSU play for the title, than more than likely Houston or Boise will get are place in the Cotton Bowl.

Another reason why I do not like the BCS...

there is one exception, which would apply if Georgia wins. DSR said it in the 1st post. The rule is:

"No more than two teams from any one conference may receive berths in BCS games unless two non-champions from a BCS conference finish as the top two teams in the final BCS standings, in which case they will meet in the National Title Game while their conference champion will play in their
conference's BCS bowl game.
"

If Georgia wins the SEC title, and LSU and Alabama finish as the top 2 teams in the BCS standings, both being conference non-champions, then LSU and BAMA would play each other in the national title game, and Georgia would be the SEC representative in one of the BCS bowls, most likely the Sugar Bowl.

Now LSU is so far ahead in the BCS ratings that it could lose by 50 and still finish in the top 2. Alabama can't hurt itself because they're not playing this week. The only team capable of passing Alabama is Oklahoma State, and they would have to beat the crap out of Oklahoma to have a chance. So if you're an SEC fan and you want 3 SEC teams in the BCS bowls, then root for Georgia and Oklahoma.
