Player to watch: Tyler Wesley, who averaged 12 points and nine rebounds last season, is a candidate for the top player in the region at 6-6 and 230 pounds.

Outlook: The Colonels are very experienced with seven seniors and seven juniors. Holland said Smith, who also plays football, is “probably the best guard in the region.” Wesley can shoot from anywhere on the floor — he went 4 for 4 from the three-point line in the team’s scrimmage. “We’ve got two very good players that give us a chance to win every night,” Holland said.
