It was reported that customers of Wells Fargo in South Carolina and Florida received incorrect bank statements due to an alleged printer malfunction. The statements reportedly contained mismatched account information about clients, including names, addresses, transaction details and Social Security numbers. The Bank fixed the issue and sent corrected statements to their respective customers but did not disclose how many account holders were affected. Wells Fargo stated that the incident was an "information security breach" and offered additional identity theft protection services to affected customers for one year.
