Fun fact: The team's leading rebounders, Scott (7.4 per game) and Ray (5.7), averaged just as many rebounds as points last season.

Outlook: The Cougars return three starters and all the returners are in their second year in coach Stamm's system, which is important as the Cougars attempt to break the Boone County and Ryle strangleholds on the district. "The second year of something is always nicer because the energy is there," Stamm said. Peacock is returning from a knee injury and Stamm said she is fully healthy and ready to become the team's new go-to producer. The Cougars lost just one starter, but it was their leading scorer.

Conner played well on saturday over at the Highlands scrimmages against Harrison Cty blowing them out in both 20 minute halfs. Conner should be a force in the 9th region this year and should surprise some teams this year as they have at least 3 players (Scott, Peacock and Castleberry) all at least top 15 type players in the region. Good guard play with plenty of speed. Should be a fun team to watch.
