University of Kentucky true freshman quarterback Maxwell Smith will start at quarterback in Kentuckyâs contest against Southeastern Conference foe Ole Miss on Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium, UK head coach Joker Phillips announced after practice Thursday.
We have moved the ball better this year when we go up tempo. Hopefully, they will do the same Saturday and Maxwell can lead the offense to a lot of points.

Other than practicing the punt formation, Max Smith is the best move UK has made this season. Very good true freshman looking forward to watching him grow as QB1 these next few years with the cats... Also look out for a lot of receptions from Matt Roark in the last few games of the season, him and smith have excelent chemistry...
The kid looked good. I sure hope Joker stays with him.
