- Letcher County Central (21-16): Defending Regional Champions. Lose 2 players from last year's team but return very good players and could make another run a the Region.

- Powell County (26-9) - Powell lost several Pitchers but return a lot of key players from last year's team. The Pirates should be in the District Championship Game again in 2012.

- Estill County (13-18): Engineers lost a lot of good players from last year's team but also return a good group of young talent. They should be fine in 2012.

- Wolfe County (19-17): Wolves lost 4 players from last year's team but return Star Dylan Creech. Wolves could upset some teams in the Regional Tournament.

- Knott County Central (24-7): Patriots just missed a game tying home run in the 2011 Regional Championship game. Patriots lost 6 players from last year's team. Patriots could be up there with LCC and make a run for the Regional Crown. Patriots have a new head coach in Danny Rice.

- Hazard (22-13): Bulldogs lost 4 players from last year's team. Bulldogs always have a good team.

- Lee County (14-16): Bobcats return everyone from last year's team. They could possibly get in to the Regional Tournament.

- Leslie County (13-12): Eagles lost 5 players from last year's team. They always seem to have a pretty good team.

- Perry County Central (10-20): Commodores lost 4 players from last year's team but they also always have a good team.

- Breathitt County (5-17): Bobcats lost 4 players from last year's team but I see them retaining the 55th District Title and being in the Regional Tournament.

NOTE: although it's not on KHSAA yet ESTILL COUNTY will be playing @ Buckhorn on April 23rd @ 6:00 pm. The ENGINEERS will also (More than likely) be playing West Carter as well as Morgan County on March 17th, those games will be played @ Menifee County. Not sure yet what the name of the Tournament/Invitational Menifee County is hosting on March 16th & 17th

The first two look right, letcher on top and powell close behind. But KCC barely pinched by Estill in the first round last year, they lose Slone and Potter. Estill had hazard beaten first game of the year last season but officials messed that one up. But i can even still understand them being at 3 and 4. But how ya gonna put Perry and Lee in front of Estill? Neither made it to the tournament last year, and were clobbered by Estill, (Minus Districts with Lee). Granted we did lose 3 Players that started for 3 years and 2 other seniors. I think Estill should be at least 5th, give the young talent on the team some credit.

Lee returns everyone if I'm not mistaken. If we play our cards right we could be in the mix of things. I know next year (2013) we should have a pretty darn good team from what I hear

Riverside over Leslie? Those rankings are the worst Ive ever seen. Move Breathitt up to 7th

Hazard with a healthy Stupart and an eligible Whitaker (transfer from Leslie Co.) is the top team in the 14th region. Powell County (18-1) vs. region opponents in '11 has to be 2nd. LCC is going to miss Sexton and Adams (started on the mound all 3 regional tournament games last year).

Basically the top 4 are a toss up between Letcher, Powell, Hazard and Knott. Powell only lost two starters so I'm putting them at 1. Knott Lost 2 best pitchers along with others, same for Letcher, and im not sure who all Hazard lost. So 2, 3, and 4 im putting between those three. I take Estill at 5. Strikeout, from what i hear, Tuttle is throwing smoke this year, he threw pretty hard last year as a freshman and started in several games, he'll need to learn how to close the games (almost lost districts against Lee). But, he is going to be a great asset. I've only been to one of their practices this winter, but we'll see come spring how things turn out.

^ Awesome! I seen that Coach Sparks updated KHSAA, I'm sure he isn't finished with it. Are we playing in the Montgomery County Tournament like last year? Lafayette was taken off the schedule for March 29. According to Station's schedule we was suppose to play them at Home on April 5 at 7:30 and at their place on May 2 at 7:30 but Coach Sparks only put them on there for April 5 and it's at there place at 5 PM

First we only loose one player from last year, and after this year we will loose just two. We have a great team, and our schedule is the best it has been. Cougars will be a force to recon with.
