Final. Magoffin did have a nice 90 yard return for a TD. Can't remember if it was a punt or kickoff.

There really was never any doubt about this one, or for the rest Breathitt plays for that matter.

Breathitt Co. 54, Magoffin Co. 14: Breathitt County scored three defensive touchdowns in the first quarter and finished its scoring with 11:42 left in the second quarter in a rout on the road.

After Richard Trent threw three touchdown passes and Ryan Cox returned a punt 72 yards for a score to make it 26-0, the Bobcats' defense got in on the fun.

Will Collins intercepted a pass and pitched the ball to Brayton Fugate, who ran it in from 32 yards out. Then Ben Hayes returned an interception on his own for 49 yards and a score. Finally, Collins recovered a fumble and ran it back 24 yards to make it 47-0 with time running out in the first.

Jonathan Gilbert ran for a 38-yard touchdown to complete the scoring at the start of the second for Breathitt (7-0). The Bobcats, ranked fifth in Class 3A by Dave Cantrall's Rating the State, have won six of their seven games by an average margin of 36.8 points. Their only close game came last Friday against Hazard, a 35-34 win at home.

Breathitt showed a new punter tonight, #3 Watkins. Might be seeing more of him @ that position.

Hope he can kick off and make extra points too. So far, it's been a joke. It's going to come back to bite them in the a** in a close/important game in the future, if something isn't done to improve their kicking game.
