Do any of you play travel or AAU basketball ASIDE from your school team during thee winter?
I am particularly interested in the 6th - 8th grade responses

Coach we AAU teams usually dont pick up or get active until Feb. or March after the Middle School season. I dont know of any in our area that play until then.

I am a middle school coach and a AAU coach. I don't allow my middle school players to play AAU during our middle school season. We go 6 days a week with either games or practice. I feel the boys need one day of rest. I know other boys that do play AAU during the middle school season. Most good AAU teams that take part in AAU Nationals don't get going till March. Are at least in the NKY area.
