Where's Trinity?
Cantralls ratings suck.
FBALL Wrote:Cantralls ratings suck.

Yea. I put no faith in these rankings whatsoever.
That Cantrell:insane:What a joker.Does he actually think his rankings hold water anymore?
he's crazy for not putting Trinity up there
Bogus rankings. Williamsburg over Harlan and Raceland. Harlan beat 'em by 3 TD's. Good for a laugh though.

I think Cantrell just does this to tick people off. That has to be what it is because they make no sense.
Are these the only rankings that will come out this week in the Herald Leader?
again rowan gets no respect from cantrall
These rankings this early in the season are as far off as the early AP Polls, alot of teams are ranked high based on rep. These rankings do get more accurate after 6-7 games are played. FWIW he doesn't pick these teams, the rankings are based off of a computer ranking based on rank of teams played and results in those games.

The best rankings IMO are on that other web site, they may miss a team here or there but overall much more accurate than any of the ones the papers put out.

When they start playing some D and Rowan won't have to look for respect they'll get it!!!
Trinity would not have to play a single game until the state championship and they should still be the #1 team!
FBALL Wrote:Cantralls ratings suck.

I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!Does this guy even keep up with highschool football because it doesn't seem like it. I think he just draws them out of hat on some cases, In 3a he has PT ranked 2nd after a 1-2 start. In 5a Pulaski Co is ranked that far above Perry Central, that's crazy. The man knows nothing about mountain football and I'm surpise that he has Bell Co #1 in 3a, because most of the time if isn't NKY or Louisville you can't play. I understand that no mountain team is going to play with the Trinty or ST X's but Johnson Central has shown that the mts can play with the highlands and the Cov cath. Man wouldn't it be nice if the mts had 6 teams at the state finals this year.
Stardust Wrote:Trinity would not have to play a single game until the state championship and they should still be the #1 team!

Truth here.
Late in the year they will be pretty accurate, its the nature of letting a computer pick the rankings
I think these are actually computer rankings and only rank in state teams.
