Well half of Estill's JV was 8th graders for the record. And the freshman that played on JV also played Varsity, i dont think the JV had a single Sophomore. So you can't risk playing the Varsity members on JV and get them hurt if they are not needed. Not to put jackson down, but Estill is a baseball school.

it only makes you better by playing the best so if that's true about Jackson County then we're looking forward to the challenge.
if the games on khsaa are correct estill has a hard schedule. bourbon county, lafayette, madison central, rockcastle county, perry central, hazard, clark county, montgomery, beechwood, knott central. holy crap what a schedule

This is true, and you gotta look at WHY we were 14 and 18 or whatever we were last year, opened with Hazard, had them beat, then played other tough teams and didnt get a break til Owsley. I do recall playing Lafayette (#1 in state at one point), Central (#1 at one point),GRG, Bourbon, played letcher and knott by 2 runs both times we played each team. Estill always finds a way to be good, its just Engineer Baseball. You only get better by playing these teams, granted it may reflect at the end of the season (like ours did) lol.

We played them two years ago at that tourny in danville...i pitched, and they ended up beating us 9 to 0...but not bad considering they had a little lefty throwing 89 in the 7th. Estill plays TOUGH teams, plain and simple.
what's the rest of there schedule looking like? We beat Station couple years back when Cody Berryman and Drew Freeman and all them were playing. I can't remember the exact score but it was in the "Defenders of the Station" Tournament which we won

I haven't actually seen the schedule but once, but i know we play station lafayette and beechwood. I think that was the year before i came up. We beat Dunbar in a tourny my freshman year at harrison im pretty sure too.

I know Buckhorn is on Apr 23rd. We open the season in a Menifee County Tournament. We open the season @ Menifee County (Mar 16) then on Mar 17 we play West Carter and Morgan County back to back. Our Schedule is brutal
Seen Lafayette's Schedule today and we have a chance to play them Twice this year. If we do play them twice it will be in the Powell County Tournament

Baseballkid10, what is up with our schedule? It shows on KHSAA that on May 1 we play Powell County at home at 5:30 and @ Wolfe County at 5:30
I know it isn't completely filled out. What happened to Lafayette and Station? The Lafayette game was completely taken off and Station is only on there for April 5 @ 5 PM @ Station. Station's Website shows that Station comes here on April 5th at 7:30 and we go there on May 2nd at 7:30. It also shows that our first game in the Tanner Dodge Classic was moved from May 4th to May 3rd for 5 PM. I'm assuming that is against Montgomery County

talked to Coach Sparks tonight before the Varsity Game against Lewis County. He said that Estill was schedule for a home and home with Station but one of them was cancelled because of scheduling conflict. He said we don't play Lafayette and that the other team we play in the Tanner Classic @ Powell County is Montgomery County and that we play West Carter in the Menifee Tournament
According to Massey Predictions/Ratings Estill is suppose to finish the regular season at 20-18, 2nd in Districts behind Powell County

3 - it will take you to another website and on that website click on matchup and put your school's name in adn when it finds it click on your school, do the same thing for your opponent or team that you wanna see the prediction for and when you have them both side by side with VS in between the 2 teams and it will say netural, click on netural and select either home, away or netural when you have your selection
4 - click on play and a score will come up under neath each team
^ Thx. And in regards to Engineer baseball this year, I believe Estill Co will have a strong showing in the 14th region surprising alot of people. You never know. They're my favorite in the 14th!:Thumbs:
I hope so. We lost a lot past 2 years but we do have a lot of young talent that can make a run at another Regional Title in the coming years
That's always good news, just have to get some valuable playing time and experience. And hopefully the Engineers have a Regional Title.
They may not make any noise this year but they will next year
