Manual senior guard Lauren Bodine has given a verbal commitment to play for the University of Maine. She will play for new head coach Richard Barron who is well renowned for his recruiting as he spent two seasons at Baylor prior to his time at NC State as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator with the Bears. During his time at Baylor, Barron was responsible for landing the consensus top-ranked player (Brittney Griner) and the top ranked recruiting class of 2009 while also assisting in coaching the Bears to the Big XII Tournament Champions. Lauren is the second Manual senior to verbally commit. Senior PG April Wilson has verbally committed to Purdue.
Congrats Lauren, good luck this season
This proves that Manual will be even better than I thought they would be. I never thought she was D-1 material, but if Rick Barron says she is, she is.
The girl better invest in some good winter clothing before she goes to Maine.
Congrats to Lauren! She is a great player.
