I think both JV's scored one or two in the early sets. Not sure how much Hopkinsville had practiced under new coach Marc Clark. And I never know how much weight to assign to a controlled scrimmage. Tilghman seemed to move the ball nearly at will and scored in the air and on the ground. Defense was crisp with multiple sacks and several no gain stops. Not sure what the final varsity score was, but it was something around 50 to 56 points put up. Can't say to what degree Hoptown played it close to the vest or took the time to evaluate some of their younger kids. PT stuck to basic plays and routes. Looks like PT has found a running game for sure with North Carolina transfer James Hill and fullback Trey "bus" Coleman. Lone Oak awaits Friday night.
