Powell County, Menifee County, Elliott County, Grant County are in the Red River Classic with more teams to be added

with the 56th District Tournament being @ Powell County this year, the Pirates very well could win it but you can't count out Estill or Lee

Southwestern has been added for Feb. 10, 12 @ Powell County 7:30 pm

Three starters, and some good talent return. The pro's- Most of this team is seniors and have alot of unity. Some good speed and athleticism. The con's- An issue that has haunted poco for a while is no size with the exception of Zach Dennis. Point guard position is up for grabs..

Over the summer I saw Powell County play in a couple of scrimmages over at Morehead. They have some really fresh talent. Their varsity team only had 6 players (which by looking at their roster they were missing a couple of players) playing against full teams. They ran the ball a lot and had a lot of fast break points. I was suprised by that Zach Dennis kid you guys were talking about. My son played pick up with him over the summer up in Richmond and he said that he "owns" the paint lmbo and he can shoot the three too. Coach Hall must be doing something right in Stanton. Cant wait to see these 56th District teams play.:Thumbs:
