The Chicago Bulls, owners of the 28th, 30th and 43rd overall draft picks, may look to package picks in an attempt to trade up in the first round 2011 NBA Draft, with the likely target being a shooting guard.

In 2010-11, the Bulls relied on a rotation of free-agent signees Keith Bogans, Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver at the off-guard position, and all three players are locked into contracts that will keep them in a Chicago uniform for at least another season. However, it is widely believed that, after striking out at the trade deadline, the team will again seek to upgrade the off-guard position this off-season.

One player who may be targeted in the 2011 NBA Draft is Providence's Marshon Brooks, a player with both length and explosiveness at off guard. Brooks would provide a nice complement to the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, point guard Derrick Rose.

With Brooks' stock rising since the Chicago pre-draft combine, Chicago would have to orchestrate a deal to move up, perhaps as high as the low-teens of the first round. The Washington Wizards, Charlotte Bobcats and Minnesota Timberwolves draft from 18-20 and could all provide potential trade partners for the Bulls, given that each team holds a lottery pick and may try to move their lower picks.

Should Brooks come off the board sooner than anticipated, Texas' Jordan Hamilton is another prospect that could entice Chicago to move up in the deal. Hamilton, one of the nation's best shooters in 2010-11, would be a scoring upgrade over Bogans and Brewer and would give the Bulls a second long-range sniper (the first being Korver) to spread the floor.

While Chicago could ultimately stand pat and see if one of the draft's top shooters slips or take a chance on some of the lower tier wings, such as Butler combo-guard Shelvin Mack, UCLA's Malcolm Lee, Georgia's Travis Leslie or perhaps even Kansas' Josh Selby.

Ultimately, the Bulls have options and the flexibility to approach the draft creatively, whether that means cashing in assets to swing a deal or stockpile young talent. Regardless, Chicago is expected to be very active in the days leading up to, and on, draft day.

I want Shelvin Mack or Kyle Singler - I'd like to have them both
Kyle Singler?
He's from Duke - That's all need be said.
^ I know he's from Duke but he's one hell of a player too. Bulls need a shooter and he's a shooter just like Mack, even tho Singler is a Forward he's still a shooter
