Thomas bounced back well after the first loss
In this game Tara Sorrels pitched the first 5 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 7 and Leigh Ellen Thomas pitched the final 3 innings giving up 3 hits, 1 run, and striking out 4. On the season Leigh Ellen is 16-9, striking out 250 batters in 155 innings and giving up just 37 runs (19 earned) on 71 hits. She also threw a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Bullitt Central while striking out 17 batters. She has 10 shutouts on the season. She is a very good pitcher, especially for an 8th grader.
