Covington Catholic has hired Scott Ruthsatz as their new head basketball coach.
Ruthsatz was a former assistant at Heidelberg College in Ohio, and was head coach at St Mary's Central Catholic in Sandusky. The last three years he has been an assistant at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, under the head coaching of Bobby Hurley, Sr.

His academic background is from Heidelberg, the Ohio State and Notre Dame.

"I'm a gym rat and my sons are gym rats," said Ruthsatz.. "We live in the gym when we can. That's the only way I know for kids to develop the ability to play at that higher level. I have to be able to get with assistant coaches that have a passion for the game and expose ourselves to the grammar schools through clinics and camps and things like that and try to draw the talent.
