Final

Christian Academy's baseball team won the Touchstone Energy All 'A' Classic state title Sunday, defeating Bishop Brossart 5-2 in the championship game at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Centurions (20-8) are the first Louisville-area school to win the tournament since it began in 2004, and won it in their first All 'A' state appearance.

Mitch Wiley's two-out sacrifice fly in the third inning, followed by Ian Holbrook's two-run home run, gave the Centurions a 3-0 lead. Ethan Tomes' run-scoring double and Davis Rhodes's sac fly in the sixth increased CAL's lead to 5-1.

Wiley went all seven innings on the mound for Christian Academy, giving up just one earned run and scattering seven hits. He struck out three and walked none.

Bishop Brossart fell to 19-7.
