The New York Knicks decided not to buy out the contract of point guard Chauncey Billups on Wednesday, ensuring he will be with the team for his full $14.2 million salary for the 2011-12 season.

I like this move. I think CB is a great teacher for whomever the Knicks bring in to learn from. If they cannot get CP3, then I see them drafting a PG. Billups still has legs, but he can't be expected to play 40 minutes anymore.
Agreed. I like the move.
The Knicks despite being able to buy out his contract for roughly 4 mil..., Chauncey gets 14 million in the deal...

However, with that said he is one of the under valued point guards in the league...:rockon:
There isn't anyone of worth on the FA market anyway.
Billups is worth more to them if he's on the court.
After next season Chris Paul and Deron Williams will be FAs.....
along with Chauncey Smile
