They are working on an MVP game to be played at Raceland High School coming very soon. All MVP's from each school who were named to All Conference will be able to play ONE MORE GAME!!
OVC small school selections will play OVC large school selections in a one day celebration. The kids named to the OVC teams will compete against each other and this is how the game day works out.
1. 9am-11am- each team will come together and practice at Raceland on the morning of game day. 2-Gyms!

2. 12-2 LUNCH to be eaten together at local food location (yet to be named)
this promotes team mentality and it also lets the kids get to know each other from playing against each other all season. This is a great way to decrease friction of future games between teams. The kids will be able to mingle and get to know other players.

3. 3pm-5pm will have both teams back in the gyms at Raceland for a light practice.

4. 6pm or 7pm will start the All Conference MVP game.
Either OVC small school will be home and wear their WHITE uniforms and OVC large school players will wear their away dark jerseys, or vice versa.
One team will be wearing white and the other will be wearing THEIR away jerseys.
No money spent on uniforms for this game, nothing special to purchase, just come and enjoy the game.

I do know that the Raceland 8th grade coach Greg Preston has offered to coach the small school team and Raceland has offered the use of both gyms on a day to provide the game.

Waiting to hear who would coach the large school team and trying to see how many kids would be interested in playing...... This is a great opportunity for a broad range of talented boys to play with other great kids.
So what do you think about it??????
This is 8th grade?
Yes- 8th grade.

I think while they are playing that we could also have winner in both 7th and 8th grade large and small school winners play each other to see who is best in the ovc:1:.
Has been brought up in the past at the meeting almost happened 3 years ago but schools don't want to do it when it is has been brought up in the past. Was not brought up this year.
