Final from Beaumont in the 2nd round of the KBA Middle School State Tournament.

Lamont Wright 2 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals

*Very proud of the effort put forth by the boys this weekend. We lost by 11 and 18 to two teams who are in the final 8 of the tournament, and both games were much closer than the score indicates. Good luck in the future to the players going into high school.

I think the Wildcats impressed everyone this weekend, including themselves. They came out Friday night against a very good team and never once backed down or showed intimadation. They almost pulled off what would have been the upset of the tournament. If they had played all season like they did Friday night, who knows where they would have ended up in the County Tourney. Good job Wildcats!
