I am creating this thread to give BGR users a place to talk about the NFL draft. This is not intended to be a "catch-all" thread, in which EVERYTHING goes here, that is not my intention. If someone has big news about the draft, or players coming out, please make a new thread for that.

This thread can serve many purposes:
1. Draft rumors
If you hear a draft rumor, like "Denver is wanting to shop the #2 pick" or "Houston wants to trade up to get the LSU corner", etc... this is a thread for that.

2. Talk about who you want your team to draft.
Maybe you are a Steelers fan that really wants your team to trade their picks or you really want Bowers in the draft, etc...

3. Analyze draft projections.
Maybe you think Mel Kiper Jr. is an idiot. Or you don't like what Todd McShay thinks, etc... You ca get on here and agree with them or criticize their ideas. Maybe you are a big believer in Ryan Mallett and you are tired of hearing how he is the 4th or 5th best QB, this is your platform, etc...

There are more reasons, but I am too dumb at the moment to think of them, right now.
Allow me to start this by posing the question:

Where will Randall Cobb go in the draft? What teams could you see taking a chance on him?
^

I really like Cobb, I wish he would have stayed but in all honesty I dont see him getting picked no earlier than the 3rd round.
I hope Ryan Mallet goes #8 to the Titans.
I would love for my Texans to trade up and get Patrick Peterson, the cornerback from LSU. I do not know what you trade for it, but for a defense that is awful you need a long-term answer. The Texans are so young and you have great defensive pieces, an impact player like Peterson could really put them over the edge as well.
Randall Cobb at this point is a mid-late 2nd round pick according to most. Of course that can change at the combine. Defensive players will dominate the early 1st round picks this year.
2011 Mock Drafts:
http://walterfootball.com/draft2011.php (Lots of detail about players but is several pages long.)
*UK fans may not like this mock draft because it has a Louisville cornerback going before any UK player.

*I, personally, do not find this one credible. They say that the Texans really want A.J. Green and they will settle for a defensive end. They also have Ryan Mallett in the top 8, when other sites have him going 37-40. They also have Cam Newton eight Big Grin

*Hasn't been updated in over a month. The draft order isn't even correct.
