NEW YORK -- The Lakers' Kobe Bryant is the top overall vote-getter for the All-Star Game in his home Staples Center on Feb. 20. He'll be facing a powerhouse Eastern team.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade of the Heat and Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo of the Celtics are on pace to be voted as starters for the game.

Garnett and Rondo remained in second place at their positions behind the Heat duo in the third voting returns announced Thursday. Orlando center Dwight Howard is the other leader among Eastern Conference players.

The Hornets' Chris Paul would be the other guard on the West, while Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Denver's Carmelo Anthony at forward are the other West leaders.

Houston's Yao Ming has a huge lead at center despite being out for the season with a foot injury.
East will crumble west..
West doesn't have a big guy than can roll with Howard.
West doesnt have a dominate center, agreed. I still think the team of CP3, Kobe, Durant, Melo, (Duncan is who should probably start center) will be just fine.
Does Anyone else wish they would do Chris Webbers idea for the three-point shootout? Where if you are a retired passed champion of the 3-point shootout u can return to face the current champ. I think it would be pretty awesome to see players like Kerr, Kenny Smith, Reggie Miller, and Larry Bird display there jump shot after so many years. It would be a great way to attract older viewers.
