a 32 bit o/s only hold 4 gb but the thing is if you have 4 it only shows up as 3.2 so your only able to use 3.2 gb of ram max on 32 bit but on 64 bit you can use at least 16gb of ram if you want.

This system i'm runing on right now is no sloutch to be a single core its a athlon 3200+ with 3 gb of kingston value ram running at 400 megahertz. Windows 32 bit o/s only lets you utilize 1 core so if you have a quad core your better of with 64 bit. I diamond radeon ati 2400 hdpro in this system right now.
