Jodie Meeks to Stay in Draft
#91
BlackcatAlum Wrote:Mock drafts are only predictions guys. It doesn't matter what site puts together a mock draft. Everyone predicted LSU to beat UK in football in '07, but we all know who won. Same thing here with mock drafts.

Obviously a NBA GM has told him they would take him in the 1st round or early 2nd round and thats why he kept his name in the draft.

Link please...I have looked everywhere and nothing says that

Do you honestly think that they are going to make it public? Meeks is a late 1st or early 2nd round pick according to most draft experts. The only player that knows where their going is Blake Griffin to the LA Clippers. That is the only player that knows exactly where he will be drafted.

Since the last time I got on here it looks like Ville has convinced himself there is no way Meeks goes in the first or 2nd round and has called out people to prove it. He has implored for someone to provide a link of anyone saying he would be a first or early 2nd round pick. Enjoy.

Check your cbs one again, he is listed in the first round by Fred Kerber.

Gary Parrish says in his article "He will almost certainly be picked somewhere late in the first round or early in the second".

C'mon Ville, just because Jodie is better than "T-Will" doesn't mean you have to hate on him. Wink

i dont see why jodie wouldnt be considered better than T-will, i mean jodie was in the race for player of the year?
C.Clair Wrote:If Meeks goes undrafted he could return to UK!

no im pretty sure they changed that rule with morris lol
Yeah but Morris did a private workout which made him not able to come back. If meeks doesn't hire an agent, and doesn't get drafted he can come back to uk.

Hmm, Then whats the point of the deadline?
If Meeks doesnt do anything to jeperdize his amateur status with the NCAA, meaning that he cant hire an agent, cant get drafted by someone, take money for endorsments, or anything of that nature he can return to school and will not have to sit out, o and all of that has to be done before 30 days after the draft.

well meeks isn't morris and will get drafted. saying he is better than t-will thats a hard choice its according what you want in a player. meeks will be in the NBA next year and will be gone by the end of the second round.
oh, thanks for clearing that up

C'mon guys - lay off Ville. We all know how much time is spent on researching facts.....:HitWall:
I don't know the NCAA rules exactly but I can tell you if he gets the chance to come back, he will have to be a walk-on cause I do belive his scholarship will be gone..lmao
Do yo think so?

If Meeks comes back and that is very unlikely, the University will have the choice to renew his scholarship or have him as a walk on. Its up to the athletic department to determine if they will give him his scholarship back.

Actually I had and I think my was right....I overlloked him in the cbs one so I think that made 2 of the 8 mock drafts we had there had him in the 1st round...and the rest was late 2nd round...I wish Jodie luck but I dont think he will be a 1st rounder
Wildcatk23 Wrote:no im pretty sure they changed that rule with morris lol

yeah but ask the NBA scout...if he was considered player of the year than why is he worried about getting drafted...HMMMM....he was a streaky shooter and that was it...nothing else

Dont know really what your talking about but Morris didnt get drafted and returned to UK. Then the following year when Tubby left he signed as a free agent.
