Louisa Middle 38, Pikeville 20
#1
Pikeville jumped out to a 12-0 lead then the Bulldogs scored 38 unanswered. Pikeville added a late TD to make it look more respectable but the Dawgs dominated after starting slow. The adjustments this coaching staff made was the difference. Louisa has some really good size, speed, and athletes. The quarterback throws a really good ball and is a 7th grader. Good win for the Dawgs on the road.

I agree it was a coaching clinic put on by LC staff. What amazed me was how crisp the offense was. Only seconds to get to the line of scrimmage and get the ball snapped after each play. It takes Pikeville forever to get play in, call the play in the huddle, get to the LOS and get the ball snapped. Two teams were night and day.

Congrats to LC, very good team.

I watched this one live, just didn't realize there was a thread about the game.

I thought when Justice went out with the injury for Pikeville they didn't play the same the rest of the game. LC dominated the line of scrimmage though and that was the difference maker.

Line play is Pikeville's only real weakness, solid every where else.

Does Louisa Middle play with 7th and 8th grade combined?

They have two teams but the 8th grade has both. Their QB, receiver and probably best lineman are 7th graders.

I was just wondering because The Louisa paper didn't specify whether the 7th grade or 8th grade team beat Russell 38-0.

The headline in the Louisa paper is just LC MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLDOGS DEFEAT RUSSELL RED DEVILS 38-0.

I saw the article. It just discusses the 8th grade game. I believe we won the first game with the younger kids 16-6.
