Biden admin gives 'green light' for NATO to send fighter jets to Ukraine
#1
Joe Biden's indecisiveness and lack of coherence is inviting disaster. Ukraine is a sovereign nation under attack. The U.S. absolutely should support NATO nations providing defensive weapons to Ukraine. However, this is a decision that should have already been made before Russia invaded Ukraine. By the time that planes arrive in Ukraine, it will probably be too late for them to make much difference. We should also have been providing anti-tank aircraft to Ukraine before the invasion.

The Biden administration's continued refusal to reverse its disastrous green energy policies is going to get many Ukrainians killed. Let's just hope that it does not result in large numbers of American casualties as well. There is no excuse to continue the war on American fossil fuel industries while Russia is engaged in real war that is being financed by the sale of fossil fuels to this country, Europe, and China.

Hypocrisy is what liberals do best.

In a Sunday interview, the Biden administration's Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that NATO member nations have the "green light" to go ahead and send fighter jets to Ukraine amidst the country's ongoing invasion by Russia.

"NATO has said none of its 30 members are willing to set up a no fly zone. President Biden has been very clear. He has no interest in that or combat troops," said "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan during Blinken's media appearance. "But what more can the United States do here? If, for instance, the Polish government, a NATO member, wants to send fighter jets, does that get a green light from the US? Or you were afraid that that will escalate tension?"

"No, that—that gets a green light," Blinken responded.
"In fact, we're talking with our Polish friends right now about what we might be able to do to back fill their needs if in fact they choose to provide these fighter jets to the Ukrainians," he continued, adding that the Biden administration is in "very active discussions" with the embattled nation.

"I've been in Europe for the last couple of days working closely as always with our allies and partners at NATO, the European Union, the G7 countries, and all of us together are continuing to take steps to increase the pressure on Russia through additional sanctions, all of which are very actively under discussion and will be implemented in the coming days, as well as taking further steps to give the Ukrainians what they need to defend themselves against the Russian aggression," Blinken added.

He said that the "impact of the sanctions is already devastating," adding that Russia's stock market has been shuttered, and that "we're seeing a recession set in in Russia. Consumers aren't able to buy basic products because companies are fleeing Russia, so it's having a big impact," he stated.

You're right, there is no excuse for the Biden administration to continue their war on fossil fuels --- but they're going to do it anyway. And of course there was no excuse to begin the war on fossil fuels in the first place. And let's at least be honest enough to admit if they cared one whit for the well being of the people of this land, they wouldn't be using the Rahm Emanuel doctrine of not wasting a crisis, to force us under the green new deal.

The use of plentiful affordable fossil fuels has been the only reason we were able to make any strides towards the suggestion of a meaningful transition to renewable energy anyway. But laying that argument aside, renewable energy accounts for 20% of total US energy consumption these days they say. That ratio has not changed significantly since they began tracking renewable energy usage because of all the renewable energy consumed, all but 3% of the reported 20% usage is hydro-electrical power;  which dates back to 1882.

For practical purposes renewable energy forms simply do not exist. Wind turbines make of the vast majority of the remaining 3%. It takes 60 years to break even on the cost of a wind turbine. The biggest problem with that is a turbine only lasts 20 years. For practical purposes renewable energy forms simply do not exist, end of story.

Except for the fact that the US has already reached the tipping point of being able to feed her people (owing to farming shortfalls), the only things they're going to accomplish in all of this is to destroy our once vaunted medical community and send our society back to the early days of the industrial revolution.

^Biden's Secretary of State implied that sending fighter jets to Ukraine was a done deal. Poland agreed to deliver all of their Russian MIG-29s to the U.S. at Ramstein AFB in Germany. Poland also said that it would purchase used airplanes from the U.S. to replace those that it was giving to Ukraine. Biden decided that Poland's proposal might upset Putin, so he vetoed the plan.

Biden's indecision and wobbly knees are encouraging Putin to keep escalating the war against Ukraine as long as other NATO members are having to drag him along. Poland announced its plan publicly so that there would be no doubt who made the decision to turn down Ukraine's request for planes.

^ I don't believe the first word any of them have to say.

They used the pandemic (which they blamed on DJT) from March of 2020 all the way through January of 2021, to ram though as much of their agenda as possible. So now if one is gullible enough, it's supposedly Putin's fault for the record high gasoline prices and food shortages. Hellooo--- the US is energy self sufficient.

The US could be energy self sufficient, but thanks to all the red tape oil sits untapped by companies who would love to drill for it. Has any of these dim wits pushing the green new deal ever bothered to check how lithium batteries are made, or could it be that they’re made it China, whose putting cash into the corrupt politicians oversized pockets.  We all actually live on the same planet, so while our bunch of hand wringing sniveling bunch of bureaucrats ruin or economy with this crap China, Russia, Mexico, etc are pumping out these so called pollutants care free…

As we see now the ridiculous mental machinations of the left have come to near fruition here at home and across the globe. With war raging across the Ukraine, we remember Barack Oblah-blah-blah's insisting that large scale land war was a thing of the past, and his chastisement of Mitt Romney for saying Russia was the US's biggest Geopolitical foe.

When the Lord said just prior to the end there would be wars and rumors of wars, there was no error in His forecast.
