• The Corbin BOE has approved the addition of boys and girls wrestling programs as winter sports according to AD Tackett Wilson. 40 students have shown interest in joining the new teams.

• Corbin is looking to fill one Head Coach and one Assistant Coach for each team, positions approved by the BOE.

• Corbin will compete in Region 7 with:
Madison Central, Madison Southern, Whitley Co., Boyle Co., Harlan Co., Knox Central, Wayne Co., Bell Co., McCreary Central, Danville, Somerset, and Barbourville.

I think adding a team from another well rounded athletic program is great news for the sport. 

Any thoughts as to who might be interested in coaching in these new programs?

I just read they competed against Whitley County this week in a match and won 58-24. I also seen that Williamsburg is also looking to have a team too.
