RPI will now determine hosting in the first two rounds of the tournament. Gone are the four region team "pods" (WKY/SKY 1-4), (LOU 5-8), (NKY/LEX 9-12), and (EKY 13-16).
Looks like some interesing first time ever matchups will happen this year.

In the quarterfinals, #3 Daviess (21-1-4) will play the winner of today's match between #1 North Oldham and #9 Manual.
• Cov Cath 3 Montgomery Co. 2 (S/PK)
The #20 Colonels (12-8-5) travel to Somerset on Saturday.
• Somerset 2 Lawrence Co. 0
Lawrence Co., in just their fourth season, won it's first regional title.
Somerset (12-5-1) will host #20 Cov Cath on Saturday. The last (only?) meeting between the two schools - a 2-1 OT win by the Briar Jumpers in NKY in the 2001 quarterfinals.
