This could be a tough match-up for Johnson Central or a cakewalk. Cahokia lost 30-28 to a Cardinal Ritter (Missouri) team that CalPreps has ranked above JC. But they also lost 21-6 to an Illinois team that CalPreps ranks just below Covington Catholic. I predict that JC wins comfortably because it is a long road trip for Cahokia.

Just saw where they are holding a Prayer Vigil for Coach Matney at the field. The post said he was having some concerning health issues.

I can’t really depend on cal preps for interstate rankings. It’s good for some stuff, but more often than not, every game I look at it for, it’s failed. But I think the eagles either way will go out and play for their coach with more intensity than the team across the field has faced. I hope JC sends them home with an L representing Ky high school football and what we have.

Listening on the radio and it sounds like Cahokia has a lot of speed. They run every play out of the spread. This should be good preparation for the JC defense. The teams they will need to beat in 4A have a lot of speed.
