Red states roaring, blue states beset by high unemployment
#61
No state governor managed the pandemic worse than New York's Andrew Cuomo and no big city mayor managed it worse than New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. New Yorkers are paying dearly for the incompetence of their elected Democrat officials. Making matters worse is the fact that Cuomo and de Blasio blame each other for the problems that the state and city are facing. When will New York voters learn that Democrats have no answers for the problems that they have created?

Quote:Cuomo-nomics? New York lags rest of the country in job growth

New York gained private sector jobs in May but not at the same rate as the rest of the country.

Jobs data released Thursday shows New York gained private-sector jobs in May but not at the same rate as the rest of the country.

The New York State Department of Labor said the number of jobs grew by 17,500, or 0.2%, last month as there are now nearly 7.5 million jobs in the state.

Nationally, the number of private-sector jobs grew at a 0.4% clip, meaning 492,000 new jobs were created.

New York’s unemployment rate went from 8.2% in April to 7.8% last month. That’s still significantly higher than the U.S. average of 5.8%.

In addition, while the state’s unemployment rate went down, so too did its labor participation rate, which accounts for the percentage of working-age individuals - people 16 or older - who are either working or actively seeking a job. It went from 61.4% in April to 60.9% last month.

New York City continues to be the main drag on the statewide numbers. According to the DOL, the city’s unemployment rate was 10.9% for the month. That’s down from 11.4% in April, but outside of the nation’s largest city, the rest of the state reported a 5.5% unemployment rate for May.

Let’s hope red states can help New York in their time of need. All those years those Yankees have been there for us, it is time we return the favor.

Nothing is stopping you from writing a big fat check to the state of New York as it struggles to recover from the economic catastrophe caused by Democrats such as Cuomo and de Blasio. There is no reason for the rest of us to pay for their incompetence as long as New Yorkers keep electing socialist idiots to run their state. The New Yorkers who have suffered the most have already moved to red states or soon will.

Quooter the easy way to settle this is give the states back the money they give to the federal government every year NO MORE OR NO LESS. Then you would find out pretty quick who are the makers and the takers.

Easy way to settle this is for you to just stop talking about it until Red states cover their debts.
How many decades have red states leeched off of blue states?

Actually,  I’m tired of paying your  salary if we get to pick who we want to cut off.

If you want to bail out blue states whose economies have been decimated through the mismanagement of Democrats, mail them checks. Better yet, just ask the government to forward your checks to the blue states directly.

I hope that you realize that those stupid icons are no substitute for coherent thoughts. Your spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization are blurring the line between Twin Ticks/dumb and Twin Ticks/dumber posts. I may need to rethink which of you deserves the more prestigious /dumb designation.

Nobody covers federal spending. China Joe just puts the shortfall on the national credit card. That is why inflation will be a big campaign issue in 2022 and/or 2024. China Joe will destroy the economy if he is in office long enough. I suspect Kamala Harris is already counting votes for a 25th Amendment coup.

No, they have not been covering their bills. That is why Democrats are including bailout money for them in every spending bill that they propose. Democrats are bankrupting blue states with their COVID-19 lockdowns, killing their citizens by forcing infected elderly patients into nursing homes, and driving people to greener pastures through ineptitude.

Red states are takers Blue states are makers. If you throw all the military spending that goes to the Red States they would be in really bad shape.

People are voting with their feet and U-Hauls. They are not fleeing blue states in droves because of military spending. Besides, there is as much money, if not more, spent on the military in blue states. You throw the same red herrings into these threads, no matter how thoroughly your points are discredited.

It may be news to you, but we have a huge national debt and it has grown by leaps and bounds since China Joe took office. No state is paying its way. If you consider federal spending a "benefit" to the states, then all of them are getting more than they paid for because the federal budget runs a perpetual deficit. You are really racking up the lies tonight, Twin Ticks. Are you going for some sort of record?

On path for a 7.5% GDP biggest since 1951
Going to be hard to get democrats out of office with numbers like that. Unless their plan to keep blacks from voting only chance they have.
Democrats destroyed the economies of the states they run for the election and are now reopening businesses that did not go bankrupt as a result of their mismanagement. Now, they will use liars like you to portray the economy as a miracle. It isn't. The economy is in much worse shape than it was before the pandemic and inflation is the worst it has been in 30 years. The people who have fled blue states to find work in more business-friendly red states know who wrecked the economy and why they did it.

The story is the same throughout the blue states. Democrats destroyed small businesses by the thousands and will be running campaigns touting job "creation." The jobs being created are mostly jobs that existed before Democrat lockdowns. What kind of monsters deliberately destroy people's livelihoods and blame the other party and then run a dishonest campaign touting economic "gains?"

Gov. Lujan Grisham killed 40% of New Mexico small businesses with her lockdowns

The national average for the cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline now stands at $3.12 per gallon. Thanks, China Joe, and all you Democrats who voted for him!

This is what our nation would have looked like if Ronald Reagan had not rode onto the scene to save us from a second Jimmy Carter term. High gas prices, high unemployment, and a high inflation rate.

June jobs report 850,000 jobs added
Keep up the good work President Biden
That's 850,000 more jobs than the Trumpsters King added in 48 months.

Biden has created zero jobs. All of the jobs that have been added to the economy since Biden took office were destroyed by the pandemic - mostly by Democrat run states bungling the pandemic response. You know that this is true, Welfare King, but you are a liar. Why don't you get a job, Welfare King, if this economy is booming?

Quooter you need to give President Biden some credit. What you are saying is before 2020 all the jobs your King added come from Blue States so in Dummy Terms you admit the Blue States are the ones who are paying for all of the Red States.
Quooter give it a break give President Biden the credit he is our President.

Welfare King, if Biden can get an honest day's work out of your sorry ass, then I will give him some credit. Why don't you stop freeloading and get a job? Or are you unemployable in what you claim is a booming economy. BTW, the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $3.13. Jimmy Carter is doing his happy dance and Joe Biden tightens his grip on the claim to the worst presidency ever.

9 of the 10 U.S. cities with the weakest job recovery from the pandemic are located in Democrat states. Of the 10 U.S. cities with the strongest job recovery from the pandemic, all 10 are located in red states. Why do you Marxist/atheists believe this is happening? Let me guess, it's Trump's fault? Am I right? Is that your answer?

Marxist economics have never worked anywhere in the world at any time in history, including in U.S. cities run by Marxists.

Large Democrat-Run Cities Lag Nation In Job Recovery
