U.S. inflation soars in April to 13-year high, CPI shows
#61
Inflation hits the poor earliest and hardest. If inflation continues to be an issue, many would be Democrat voters are going to be open to crossing over and voting for anybody but Biden or Harris in 2022 and beyond. People of my generation remember what the misery index is from the Carter years.

The left hate the single family auto infrastructural model upon which America was built because they're convinced car emissions will destroy the planet. This even though they know the US accounts for only 15% of world pollution. Therefore the ridiculous multi billion dollar high speed trains and electric cars that will further strain a wobbly power grid (thanks to Obama's war on coal which has led to the loss of 50% of America's electrical energy production through plant closures); all of which features daily brownouts and blackouts. And of course the only way high speed trains and other forms of mass transportation could possibly work would be if everybody were forced out of their suburban homes and into the grim reality of Russia style apartment buildings where people languish in miserable mediocrity, next door crime, and squalor. The short of it all is this, Dems believe whatever they want to believe and they're willing to force Americans to comply with the idiocy.

Shortages exist for everything from pool chemicals to paint products from Sherwin-Williams. And of the products which are still available, EVERYTHING is going up. But ask any business owner, they will tell you in a heartbeat. Tree huggers are the real crazies in this world, and inflation is very real.

TRT you must think $1,400 dollars go a long way they gave them checks out in march that's almost 4 months ago you need to come up with something else that lie is getting old.

A rapidly rising inflation rate is not a good thing. No amount of your repetitive lies will convince anybody with an IQ above room temperature that a high inflation rate is a good thing. If you get an annual raise of 3 percent and the annual inflation rate is 5 percent, the last thing you should do is thank Joe Biden for a pay cut.

The cost of gasoline continues to soar because of China Joe's energy policies. The national average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline now stands at $3.17. That is the most that Americans have paid for gasoline since China Joe was our Vice President. I am predicting that the cost of gasoline will surpass its peak during the Obama/Biden administration if China Joe serves a full term as president. The man is a stumbling, mumbling national disaster.

“Somehow We Have To Figure Out How To Boost The Price Of Gasoline To The Levels In Europe.”

The above was the plan under uncle Joe's old boss, Obama; it's always been the liberal plan, and it remains the liberal plan. The link above shows the graph used by Republican Party Chair Senator Roy Blunt to show how expensive gas was across Europe at the time. But these guys want gas to be too expensive to buy, because that is the best way to regulate the single family automobile, (which libs see as planet destroyers) out of existence. If gas gets too expensive to buy, or COVID-19 regulations become even more onerous in the face of fantastically effective vaccines, or the entirety of the Yucatan peninsula winds up north of the border, you can bet it's by design.

TRT the most I ever paid for gas was in july 2008 it was over $4 a gallon it hurt when you had to fill your truck up it would be about $100. I had to do that twice a week you do remember that don't you ? That was when your boy Bush Jr. was in charge and you and Quooter was still looking for WMD'S. And you still backed the SOB. Let me give you a hint where the WMD'S are they are in the same place where those Fraudulent Ballots are. They don't Exists

Yes, I am sure about that. The economy is not booming in Lawrence County or any other part of eastern Kentucky. The economy is better than it was at the peak of the pandemic but it has not fully recovered.

I live in an area where the economy is booming. The area of Kentucky where you live does not have a booming economy and has never really had a booming economy. Democrats have just been successful lowering your expectations.

Too much welfare fraud will kill an area's economy. Democrats have destroyed the work ethic in too many eastern Kentucky residents to make it a business friendly area. You have a second home in Kentucky? If so, then the economy is not likely booming there either. If it is not in Kentucky, then it is most likely in a red state like Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida because very few blue states have strong economies.

As usual, you don't even read the articles to which you link. The economy is growing at a much lower rate than expected - 6.5 percent vs. the 8.5 percent that was forecasted. Those are the facts from the article that you linked - not mine. What an idiot!

Sounds like Hoot is seriously misrepresenting you.  People on welfare generally don't have multiple homes and excess cash to invest. Like you, I'd love to have those 13 and 15% CD rates we had back in the early seventies. Some mega G's invested at  those rates would be nice. Sounds like you are doing very well for yourself. Too bad that so many poor Kentuckians still vote for the party that put them in the poor house to begin with.  They need to start voting Democrat and work their way out of mom's basement.  Maybe oneday they'll have multiple homes like you do and enough CD's to choke Hoot's chicken.   Wink

Would love to see at least the 10% CD'S make a comeback Your right Quooter doesn't have a clue he has leached off the taxpayer's for many years. He did say he helped set spad's at a Island Creek mine in Martin County.
