Post new coaches at new schools that did a good/great job in 2020. Tell why.
#1
Tom Greer - Corbin - Had a nice run and is primed to make even more noise in 4A in 2021.

Phillip Hawkins - Bryan Station - Best season they have had in no telling how long.

Coach Hawkins at Bryan Station as mentioned.

Daniel Howard did a fantastic job at Hazard navigating their issues and leading them to a shocking upset over Pikeville in the playoffs.

What Howard did at Hazard was remarkable. He took the job late. They had no field to practice or play on until halfway through the season. Started 0-5 and finished District Champions with the upset win  over Pikeville.

The field was destroyed due to storms last spring. Messed up the turf and had lights torn down. They go the new turf down late in the season and are just now getting the lights up. Also, Coach Howard took over the program late once Grizzle backed out of the job. They faced some obstacles early but they overcame them to have a good strong finish.

I think Coach Howard stepped in and done a great job.  Why did Grizzle quit on Hazard and run back home?

What Coach Howard done this season to take on the program late and start so poorly like so many folks have me ironed already.

It’ll be something they talk about in mountain football for a long time. To take a team into Pikeville against the defending state champions in a game NO ONE thought they’d win and to win that game was unbelievable.

Justin Haddix. Unbeaten and State Champion in first year while replacing a ton of studs from the previous year. Pretty impressive.

Edge at Apollo

Was in every game but Owensboro which was first game of the year.
Culture was bad when he got there.
Lost to Henderson by a 5 (last seconds score by Henderson)
Lost to McCracken 45-22 Regular Season compared to 2019 81-59
Lost to McCracken 20-13 in playoffs compared to 59-0 in 2019.

Big wins vs. Meade Co, Daviess Co (who has beaten Apollo for 9 years), and Owensboro Catholic

I think he brings a good mix of experience and a defensive minded philosophy that they need. Edge is a Tony Franklin guy that had alot of success at Catholic running the system.

It was a good hire by Apollo. The future looks great

It was a good hire by Apollo. I would give him a "good" rating, but I think if they would of played the first 3 games in the original schedule before covid they would of won 3 more games. (Warren Central, Caldwell, and Central Hardin)
