Tonight’s 7th grade semifinals saw #2 East Seed defeat #1 West Seed Mason Co. 45-32. #1 East Seed Boyd County defeated #2 West Seed Rowan Co. 45-24. Boyd Co. will play Ashland in the 7th grade championship on Thursday at 7:00 at Rowan Co.

Last nights 8th grade semis saw both #1 seeds win. #1 seed in the west Rowan Co. defeat #2 seed in the East Ashland 30-29. Also #1 seed in the East Boyd Co. defeated #2 in the West Mason Co. 70-59. Rowan will take on Boyd in the finals at 7:15 Thursday night at Rowan Co.

Congratulations to this year OVC Large Schools Champions. In the 7th grade Boys Co. defeated Ashland 49-42. In the 8th grade Rowan Co. defeated Boyd Co. 52-33. Also congratulations to this years 8th grade all-conference selections as well.

Good talent in that large school division. Ashland and Boyd have good squads, but that Rowan County team was absolutely loaded with talent. Congrats to all the teams, and All-Conference players that were selected.
