For those AD's that attended the KHSAA MS meeting back in September this information was covered, but just to make sure that everyone is on the same page, in 2020 KHSAA has mandated that the first Regular Season Middle School Contest for football can not be played until the Saturday before the High Schools first varsity game, for 2020 that would be Saturday, August 15, 2020. With that said, KYMSFA has made a few adjustments to its 2020 calendar of events that everyone needs to make note of:

8/1/2020 - Scrimmage Week 1
8/8/2020 - Scrimmage Week 2
8/15/2020 - Game Week 1
8/22/2020 - Game Week 2
8/29/2020 - Game Week 3
9/5/2020 - Game Week 4
9/12/2020 - Game Week 5
9/19/2020 - Game Week 6 (Playoff Seeding meeting will take place on Sunday 9/20/19 so that all games on 9/19/2020 will count)
9/26/2020 - Game Week 7
10/3/2020 - KYMSFA Play In Round
10/10/2020 - KYMSFA First Round Playoffs
10/17/2020 - KYMSFA Second Round Playoffs
10/24/2020 - KYMSFA Regional Championships
10/31/2020 & 11/1/2020 - KYMSFA Semi Finals Regions 1 vs 4, and Regions 2 vs 3
11/7/2020 & 11/8/2020 - KYMSFA Championships

11/27/2020 - 11/29/2020 - KYMSFA All Star Classic Weekend


* Note that Semi Finals and Championships will be split into 2 separate weekends for 2020. Therefore KYMSFA will be taking bids for host sites for Regionals and Semi Finals. The semi final sites will need to be located at a somewhat midpoint for the two regions who are paired to play each other. If you have interest in hosting, please let me know.

* Note KYMSFA is reviewing a change in the required game minimum for 8th grade from 7 games to 6 games due to the new timelines, that final ruling will be posted in June after the annual meeting.
