The Small School & Large School State Duals took place on 1-30-16.
Small School was held at Lindsey Wilson College.
Big School was held at Ryle High School.

Dual meets and Individual Tournaments are scored completely different.
Team scores for a Dual meet are scored by how each person wins in the 14 weight classes.
Fall = 6 team points.
Forfeit = 6 team points.
Default (injury) = 6 team points.
Disqualification = 6 team points.
Technical Fall (Being ahead by 15 match points or more) = 5 team points.
Major Decision (Winning by 8-14 match points) = 4 team points.
Decision (Winning by fewer than 8 match points) = 3 team points.
Team scores for a Dual meet are scored by how each person wins in the 14 weight classes.

Here is how individual tournaments are scored.
The KHSAA State Wrestling Team championship is scored on this format.
A 32 man bracket is used for each weight class at the state championships.
Points for advancement.
2 team advancement points shall be scored for each match won in the championship bracket, except for the final first-place match. If a wrestler receives a bye in a round where at least one match is wrestled, he shall be awarded 2 advancement points for that bye if he wins his next match after the bye.
1 team advancement point shall be scored for each match won in the consolation elimination, except for the final third and fifth place matches. A wrestler who has received a bye in a consolation round where at least one match is wrestled shall receive one advancement point for that bye if he wins his next match after the bye.
Points for winning matches.
2 additional points for each match won by default, disqualification, fall, or forfeit.
1 1/2 points for each match won by technical fall.
1 additional point for each match won by major decision.
Placement points.
1st - 16, 2nd - 12, 3rd - 9, 4th - 7, 5th - 5, 6th - 3, 7th - 2, 8th - 1.
