Bath Co. 40 Simons 18 (8th)

BCMS 8th goes to 2-0 but did not play their best ball. 4 turnovers cost the Cats at least 2 TD's and lead to a couple of the TD's for Simons/ Fleming Co. But they are learning from their mistakes and doing what it takes to win. Congrats BC!!!!

BC's 8th grade is HUGE, fast, and strong! I was really impressed with them on Thursday when they played Lewis County. Some thought that they were playing high school kids they were so good! I don't think they did that but there are surely some holdbacks as every team has them. Good luck to BC for the rest of the season!

Actually there aren't any "holdbacks". All legit 8th graders. There are a couple that their parents started them late in school but the entire team has been together in the same grade since they started elementary school. They are just a physically big group of kids. And they are a tight group as well. You most always see 8 or 10 (or more) of them together as a group at any function they are at. Best of luck to you as well. Your 7th grade group looked to have some promise as well in the size department.
