Last night Coach K tied Dean Smith as the 2nd winningest Men's Division 1 coach.
Congrats!
He now has 879 and is 23 wins away from tieing The General for #1 all-time.
With 20 regular season games left, if Duke wins out the rest of the season they will undoubtedly receive a first-round bye in the ACC tourney.
If they run through that Coach K would tie Bobby in the ACC championship game.
It's a long shot....
but wouldn't that be wild lol
If they drop a few games he could possibly tie it in the NCAA tourney.
I don't know if tournament wins are counted in this or not.
Honestly, Duke could win 23 more games this season, if they count the NCAA tournament.
I hate dUKe, but I don't hate coach K all that much. He's truly a good guy. I hope he gets it.

Dean Smith doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Coach K. If Coach K had the players Smith had over the years, he'd have 15 national championships.
I hate Duke, but Coach K is my favorite college basketball coach of all time. Call that weird, cause I honestly do hate Duke. But I just like the way coach K coaches and the way he carries himself.
