I wanted to congratulate all the NEKC members on a strong season that featured 5 teams in the KYMSFA State Playoffs, and more teams that could have done well there, that didn't participate. Raceland's 8th grade team (who are Division 3 State Runners up), Verity's 7th and 8th Grade squads, Boyd County's 7th and 8th Grade squads all competed, and Lawrence County and Greenup County's 8th grade teams could have played, too.
I'm proud of the entire league for playing hard start to finish, and since there's been very little said about this Conference, I wanted to brag about kids, schools, fans, and balanced play. Every Game was in contention, and every team played with great heart.
I look forward to next season and another remarkably competitive season.
