Lafayette Senior Eric Shaw took the a visit to Richmond, Kentucky last week and decided EKU was the place for him. Shaw who had been unrecruited most of the season but had Western Kentucky knocking on his door late. It didn't matter though because Shaw took one visit to Eastern Kentucky and he knew that's where he wanted to be.
EKU had been talking to Shaw most of the season but hadn't offered a scholarship until a few weeks ago. Shaw jumped at the opportunity and EKU head coach Dean Hood got a steal. Shaw was an outstanding player in high school where he played 5 positions for the Generals. It is unclear where Shaw will fit in the Colonels offense but Hood won't have a hard time finding a spot for such a versatile player.Shaw finished with over 1,000 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns his senior year. He also had 70 tackles and 4 interceptions.
