I have to wonder now if butler is overrated because both teams looked small and slow.
Shelvin Mack had 20 points for butler.
Virtually every team in the top 20 has looked bad at some point this fall
Saw highlights on ESPN and it looked like a great game UCLA is struggling a little bit and Butler is not all they are cracked up to be

Shelvin Mack was good enough to start as a freshman for a very good Butler team but he was not good enough to sit on Billy Gillispie's bench at UK. When I watch Mack play in person at Hinkle Fieldhouse, I realized just how bad of a judge of basketball talent Gillispie was. Shelvin Mack will never play in the NBA but he is much better than any point guard Gillispie had on his roster.

Lee Todd and Mitch Barnhart both should have been fired along with Gillispie and escorted to the state line for not firing Gillispie when he refused to sign a contract.

Butler will be good and they will make the tournament again but they are too small to make much of a run, IMO. The Bulldogs are always very well coached and no team plays harder.
Thats too bad that Shelvin Mack isn't playing along side Darius Miller at UK. I think Mack was by far good enough to play for UK because he was starting for Butler when they were ranked the highest in like school history! Too bad, Billy Gillespie was our coach at the time! Oh well, Congrats to Mack and Butler!!
