BATON ROUGE, La. -- Quarterback Tim Tebow will play Saturday if he passes medical testing before Florida's game against LSU.

"If he's ready to play, cleared to play, we're going to play him," Florida coach Urban Meyer said Saturday morning in an interview with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi.

The decision will be made well before the kickoff for the 8 p.m. ET game but probably won't be known until the team gets to the stadium, a Gators source told ESPN.com's Pat Forde.

Tebow has been recovering for two weeks since suffering a concussion Sept. 26 in a victory at Kentucky.

"We have a team [walk-though], then some meetings," Meyer said. "Last night he looked terrific. Checked, as I do all our players, checked on him at about 10:30, and everything's real positive."

The Gators will be "locked down" with meetings and game preparation from around noon to 5 p.m., and no announcements were expected until afterward.

"Today our doctors are going to run a test," Meyer said. "And the great thing is Tim's dying to play, he wants to play, can't wait to play. But this medical staff won't allow him to play unless everything's 100 percent."
