It’s been rumored for quite a few weeks now but now it has become official. Former UK commit Dominique Ferguson will be transferring to Hargrave Military Academy, leaving behind the storied Lawrence North program. Ferguson’s father, Deon, said it was in the interest of academics that Ferguson make a transition to the alma mater of Larry Brown, Josh Howard, Joe Alexander, Marreese Speights, Sam Young and David West and that he thought it would be difficult for his son to become eligible if he stayed in Indianapolis’ public schools system. Ferguson, ranked #23 by Rivals in the class of 2010, remains a target of the Wildcats and will join another former target, Shawn Kemp Jr., at the school.

As of right now, yes. Anything could happen with this kid.

At least his parents are concerned with Ferguson's academics.
