The Kentucky Christian University website (http://www.kcu.edu) is reporting the signing of Bath County standout Blandon Clemons to play basketball and football. Quote from the site:

"The KCU men's basketball team made their first step for the 2008-2009 season. Coach Shouse signed point guard Blandon Clemons from Bath County in Owingsville, KY. In a year where the Knights will lose almost 6000 combined points from the graduating senior class, including 2000 points and 1000 assists from point guard Matt Hackenberg, Shouse feels like Clemons is a player that can come in and be a contributer right away.

'The things Blandon does well will fit right into what we try to accomplish. He is a quick point guard who can get into the lane and create shots for himself or others. He is all over the floor on the defensive end and gives players fits with his quick hands. I think it is important to land such a great recruit from the area (16th Region) because it will get us more looks down the road.'

Clemons lead Bath County in scoring this season and was named EKC (Eastern Kentucky Conference) Player of the year, as well as All-16th Region. He lead Bath County to a 20-5 finish. Blandon plans on playing football as well as basketball at KCU."
