The "Dream Game" has, more often than not, been a nightmare for first-year coaches of the Kentucky and Louisville basketball teams. Since Eddie Sutton helped the Wildcats beat Denny Crum in 1985, every new coach at each school has lost his debut in the series, including losses by Rick Pitino at both schools in 1989 and 2001.
