For those who don't know, Donnie Jones, a Point Pleasant native, played at Pikeville from 1984 to 1988 and set the school record for assists. His coaching career also began at Pikeville where he was hired as an assistant coach by Greg White, who later coached at Marshall.
Pikeville is 2-1 with a blowout win against Johnson Bible College (131-57) and a victory over Shawnee State (85-64). The Bears lost at King College (85-77).
