WV is headed back to madison square garden for the semi-finals of the NIT.I know alot of people dislike the NIT but I would rather win the NIT than play and lose in the first game of the ncaa,s.But thats just me, there is no science for this.If West Virginia can win two more games and give them 26,, I believe,,they have a shot at finishing in the ap top 25.Either way just a fantastic season for a team who was picked to finish 11th in the Big EAST and no one thought they would win 20 games.Hats off to Coach Beilein.Very few coaches did any better coaching than he did.Wait until next year baby!!!
I agree, I do think they should have been in the Ncaa tourny tho.
I have been a big fan of the NIT ever since UK,s point guard drove the length of the floor and hit a layup at the buzzer to beat a Cornbread Maxwell,s UNCC team to win the nit. They won the NCAA the next year over Duke 92-88 behind goose givens career night.
