Let's set the stage.
This verse tells us where the war was won. Jesus is praying in the garden of Gethsemane. The cup Jesus is praying that will pass is sin. The Death, Burial & Resurrection (The Gospel) begins in this verse because Jesus said "not as I will, but as Thou wilt."


Matthew ch. 26 (KJV)
39: And He went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt.



Aren't you glad Jesus went a little farther for you........
