Only one person seemed slightly
disappointed in the debut of the most highly sought freshman ever
to play for Kansas State -- and that was the player himself.
Huntington native Bill Walker says he got a little winded out
there.
The six-foot-six forward who once had 50 points and 25 rebounds
in an Ohio high school game scored 15 points in the Wildcats'
82-to-54 rout of Kennesaw State yesterday.
But he admitted he did not quite feel 100 percent.
Walker, who led Cincinnati's North College Hill High School to
two Ohio State championships, also had four rebounds and an assist
before going to the bench late in the game with four fouls.
Last summer Walker was ruled ineligible to play his final season
at North College Hill and he enrolled at Kansas State. He became
eligible on Saturday, an event that occasioned a special news
conference at a school where excitement has already surged with the
arrival of Bob Huggins as head coach.
Huggins was not upset with Walker for getting winded. He says
Walker just left high school and hasn't played a game since August
First.
I didn't get to see him play....is he good enough to take K-state to the NCAA tourney?
oh yea he is that good, I always liked watching him play more than O.J.
Good opening night for Walker!
Thats not really a bad night since that was his first game.

Yeah he is, and if he stays for next season, him and Beasley will be un-real, and along with other key recruits and transfers, they should be an amazing team, top 5 in the nation easy
If you saw oj and walker play for the first time and u didnt know them apart you might think walker was oj.

I doubt it.
Yeah Billy is an awesome player who can do more than just dunk the ball with authority. Hes an all-around player and has a much better attitude than Mayo does and thats always a plus.
Is he in high school or college?
i never seen him but all the talk was good
Seen today that K-State beat USC 68-55. This game came a year to early, seeing that Mayo is heading to USC. Could have seen a Mayo Walker matchup.
